Due to the Covid-19 situation and the very good likelihood that the ability to gather in large crowds will still be limited by race day, Walleye Weekend has been canceled for 2020, HOWEVER the Walleye Run will still take place but instead, be contested as a virtual race.
Virtual Race Information
With the outbreak of COVID-19 and the need to social distance, the Walleye Run is going to be contested this year as a virtual event. What is a virtual run? It’s simple. On the weekend of our race (8/29 - 8/30), you can run the distance you signed up for, time yourself, and then submit the results to us. Instructions on how to do all of this is provided below. Your participation will benefit the Fond du Lac Running Club and all the free events they conduct within the community throughout the year.

Run Your Race
Sometime on Saturday, August 29 or Sunday, August 30, you can run your race. You can run whatever course you want, as long as you have the right distance. You’ll need to time yourself. This can be a simple stopwatch or if you have a GPS enabled device, that works even better as it will track your distance.
Submit Your Results
After completing your virtual run, you should go to the race results page located at https://www.racetecresults.com/results.aspx?CId=16541&RId=481 and enter your results. To do this, make sure you select the right race tab and then look for your name. If you want, you can do an easy search by last name to find it easily. Click on "Edit Time" on the line associated with your name. You will be given a submission form where you should enter your time. You can also add some other details like when you completed your run and where you ran. You can also add a web address for your activity if you uploaded to Strave, Garmin Connect, MapMyRun or most any other online database. Other than time, the other data is optional, but we'd encourage you to .provide that information as it make the results more interesting If you entered a time and realized you made a mistake, email [email protected] with your corrected time. If you have any other questions on the results process, you can contact John as well .
Once your result is entered, your time will be updated with the next the next time results are calculated. On race weekend, we will try to be continually processing results, but there may be some breaks in the action.
