Summer Youth Running Series

When:
A free weekly four-week series; every Wednesday evening.
2024 Dates:
July 24, July 31, August 7, August 14.
Where:
Theisen Middle School which is located at 525 E. Pioneer Road in Fond du Lac. Parking is available off of Martin Ave due to construction on Pioneer Road.
Schedule:
6:30 PM - Onsite registration opens (near east parking lot and door #9)
6:45 PM - 1/8 Mile Run - Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Boys & Girls (as of fall 2024)
6:55 PM - 1/4 Mile Run - 1st, 2nd, 3rd Grade Boys & Girls (as of fall 2024)
7:05 PM - 1/2 Mile Run - 4th, 5th, 6th Grade Boys & Girls (as of fall 2024)
7:15 PM - 3/4 Mile Run - 7th & 8th Grade Boys & Girls (as of fall 2024)

Overview:
The Summer Youth Running Series is a free cross country event for all students entering grades 8 and under as of the 2024-2025 school year. The event is open to the public. Students from all school districts (including those outside the Fond du Lac area) are encouraged to participate regardless of what sports they might play during the actual school year.
Registration:
No pre-registration required. Race day registration only which will cover all four weeks. Returning participants must check in each week at the registration table before their scheduled race. The registration area will be set up on the east side of the building and near the east parking lot. In case of inclement weather, registration will be set up just inside door #9 located near the east parking lot.
Course:
All races will be run on grass on the east side of Theisen and around the football field area. The start and finish lines will be near the east parking lot. Volunteers will be assisting all participants.
Awards:
All runners participating in the weekly Summer Youth Running Series will receive a participant award each week.
Results:
All participants will be timed and place cards will be handed out at the finish line. Place cards must be turned in to the registration area in order to properly compile results.
Refreshments:
Water will be available to all participants and spectators.
