FDLRC July Track Meet
2019 Track Meet Results
On TBD, the Fond du Lac Running Club will be hosting a track meet at our club’s weekly track workout at the Oriole Athletic Complex in North Fond du Lac.
Some events are broken up into heats based on the number of participants registered (100m, 200m and 400m). Heats are structured based on ability level as much as possible. The 800m, 1600m and 3200m will be run together in one heat. We will continue to offer a 4x400 relay at the end. Relay teams can either register in advance or form onsite. The time schedule is approximate but we generally stay on time. We will not start events earlier than the posted times.
Schedule - Tuesday, TBD (tentative; schedule may be modified based on the number of registrants per event):
7:05 PM – 1600m run
7:20 PM – 100m dash
7:30 PM – 400m run
7:45 PM – 200m dash
7:55 PM – 800m run
8:05 PM – 3200m run
8:25 PM – 4x400 relay
Participants:
Participants are required to pre-register and should make every effort to do so. We would like to keep registering at the track to an absolute minimum. The only exception is forming 4x400 relay teams onsite. A registration form will be posted at the bottom of this page a few weeks before the meet.
If you are not sure if you’ll be coming, please pre-register anyway. It’s much easier for us to just cross your name off the list. By registering in advance, this will help the running club seed participants in the appropriate heats for the shorter events, obtain volunteers for timing all the events and making sure we have people to help start the sprint events.
Volunteers:
We need at least 5 people to help time the 100m, 200m and 400m. No experience is necessary. We usually ask people to use their own stopwatch. If you are not interested in participating but would be available to help out, please let us know as soon as you can by sending a message through the contact us page.
Reminders & Guidelines:
- The track will open at 6:30 PM for warm ups.
- Everyone must check in at the table near the start/finish line when they arrive at the track.
- Everyone should read information posted on the tables when they arrive at the track.
- All ages and abilities are welcome to participate.
- Events will not be run ahead of schedule. Generally we are able to stay on time.
- Restrooms are available at the track.
- Bring your own items to eat and drink.
- You can participate in as many events as you’d like. Believe it or not, some people sign up for all of them.
- You can switch events or scratch on the day of the meet, but please do your best to stick with what you register for in advance.
- Please arrive early enough before your first event so you can warm up and check in.
- Running Club representatives will still be at the track if the weather is bad. Maximum delay time to complete all events is 45 minutes.
The meet could be shortened by eliminating some events if necessary.
- The track meet is free and open to the public.
